The importance of metadata #
Metadata is a set of information that you will attach to an image, which will be found and indexed by Google. This simple action can dramatically improve the website SEO and Google My Business (GMB) efficiency.
You can easily insert this information using Photoshop. Make sure that the metadata will be inserted before the image is uploaded to the website and GMB.
Open the image in Photoshop, and go to File > File Info…
On the Basic tab, fill the fields ‘Document Title’, ‘Author’, ‘Description’, ‘Keywords’, ‘Copyright Status’ and ‘Copyright Notice’, as shown in the example below:

On the Origin tab, fill the fields ‘City’, ‘State/Province’, and ‘Country’, as shown in the example below:
