Strategy #
‘Strategy’ for us is a document where we compare weekly Social Media accomplishments make notes about the achieved results and establish a course of action for the upcoming week. It should cover all the platforms 2 Guys with Knives are on: Instagram (IG), Facebook (FB) and Twitter.
The ‘Strategy’ is revised & updated weekly and discussed in the weekly Marketing Meeting. This document can guide you in creating an effective weekly Posts’ Outline.

Outline #
‘Outline’ is a document where the intended social media posts and stories for the next week are detailed.
For each week, a theme should be chosen, that will “connect” all the posts to ‘tell a story’ throughout the week. For example: ‘Back to School’, ‘It’s raining again’.
The 2 Guys with Knives’ style is informal, educative, goofy. Our goal is to provide information about our food and services, fitness & nutrition
Currently, we use the following structure for our posts:
- Monday: video with the weekly menu items
- Tuesday:
- Highlighting a meal or ingredient that can make a difference in your day-to-day, it’s our #transformationaltuesday OR
- Promoting a partnership action or promotion. Example: F45 Challenge
- Wednesday:
- Informational post. It could be a fun/interesting fact about food. Example: the possible roots of the Jambalya (right pic). OR
- Contest with some partner, like Body Energy Club, Function Health Club, etc
- Thursday: quiz or health tip
- Friday: educational post. It can be the benefits of an ingredient (example: matcha) or a fitness tip (example: hydration) or healthy living (for example: back to school: healthy snacks to your kids)
- Saturday: funny quote (example: I see
goodfood in every situation.) - Sunday: post about enjoying the day, enjoying life, #sundayfunday
Instagram Stories: usually we have two stories, one on Tuesday and another on Thursday. Usually, we highlight a meal category, a partnership or an entree with the weakest sales during the week to boost awareness of the item and increase sales. Use the Story Resources like polls, countdown, GIF, questions

This structure is not rigid, and can always be improved with new topics. Don’t be afraid of being creative.
